What is stress?
Stress is when we are in a tight situation and need to find our way through, such as being born. You are being in a tight situation and there needs to be something different happening now. The stress gets so big that the waters break and you get driven out of the womb. That I would call development stress 🙂 And it’s very useful!
Stress is also when something gets taken to it’s limits and it can break under the given circumstances if there is no way out!
Sometimes we perceive things a stress but when we look closely we come to realize it is self inflicted stress. Once we understand this we can start rearranging our thoughts and patterns to create a new way of perceiving things.
Sometimes we can see that the moment we were in a situation with no way out and the actual “breaking” has happened a long time ago, and the stress of today is just a reminder of the stress break down and the limiting consequences back then.
I want to invite you to look at your thoughts and the situations you perceive as stressful and to assist you in questioning them if they really are stressful or if it’s just your perception. Plus, I want to invite you to work with you on finding the way out of the stressful thinking pattern. Creating a room for the original stress to surface and heal. Creating a survival and exercise plan for the meantime when the imaginary stress is knocking on your door again.
Lets take an example
Peter planned to go to work on Wednesday and Mary know tells him she had the idea they could go to the beach on Wednesday.
In Peters mind there is straight away a conflict. He needs to go to work to earn the money, but he d love to go to the beach to be with his girl friend.
Now, if Peter may perceive this as a stressful situation if he is unaware of his inner conflict of interest.
If he is however aware he can start working on solutions. A simple one being, to tell Mary, he’d love to but that day he needs to go to work.
Or checking his work arrangements and seeing if they can be moved without letting anyone down.
I know it sounds very simple, but this is the basics of how false stress appears, through unaware conflict of interest.
And once we identify things we can start managing our stress.
The healing work is done through the process of identifying your patterns of “creating” stress. Once we learn to identify, we are also confronting the old patterns and the relative memories of where they came from. Through this we can create the place for healing and transforming. So again it’s a work that integrates all aspect of life.
I hope it’s been a little helpful, let me know your thoughts.
