Celebrate your importance

celebrate your importance.jpgRecently I thought I needed to google some ideas to the subject of humbleness.

My conclusion of the helpful thoughts was: Celebrate your importance!

I experience the two sentences of shame quite a lot in my life:

  • Phrase 1: You can’t do that
  • Phrase 2 (in case you dared anyway): Who do you think you are!

Many of us have to much “humbleness”, it’s been a religious concept and everyone agrees to the idea.

But what about just being happy and pleased with who we are, what we can do, what we feel, what we think, recognising our greatness, our uniqueness, our importance.

That doesn’t mean anyone else is less important, to the contrary, everyone is also just so special! What a wonderful reality.

And what about that 3 year old that drew a picture and is very pleased with it? Do we tell him keep on trying or do we say. Well done, this is a lovely picture.

And what about if the 5 year old is just so happy about the sand castle build. Do we ask them to stay humble? Or do we take pleasure in them being pleased about themselves?
I will write in on my coaster: Celebrate your importance!
